And she does it with something of a head start. Bas will soon be the first Swedish brand and retail design company to open an office in London. - Our international ambition has grown stronger in sync with the globalization of our field of work. London is a natural choice since it is Europe's capital when it comes to fashion, design and retail development, says Marie Wollbeck. The office, run by Sara Hildén Bengtsson, will definitely give both us and our clients new business opportunities. Marie has worked with Bas since 1997 and has a long experience of brand- and design strategy. - I simply got an offer I couldn't refuse, says Claes von Hauswolff. To be involved in the business development of one of Sweden's most famous brands is very exciting. Marie provides a unique competence and consumer perspective to our Scandinavian and international clients. Furthermore, I will continue to work for Bas as member of the board and partner. Claes will start his new appointment February 1st 2005. - Our long-term ambition has been to build a strong company based on entrepreneurial spirit and a broad cutting-edge competence. We have handpicked creative, business-oriented individuals with specialist knowledge in areas like brand identity, packaging and retail development and design. The fact that our colleagues get top jobs in the Swedish industry is a good mark for Bas. It means that we attract the best people in our trade and that Bas provide a chance for us to develop as professionals, says Tomas Nodbrink managing director at Bas.
