Länsförsäkringar Shop designed by Bas Brand Identity

Traditionally, banks and insurance companies meet their customers at branch offices – places that customers only visit when they have specific business to attend to. The Swedish company Länsförsäkringar will shortly launch a new and unique concept called Länsförsäkringar Shop designed to change the way customers approach the company.

Studies have shown that many people think that insurances, loans, savings, and other aspects of your private economy are really important but also very difficult to understand. The purpose of this shop concept is to create a physical meeting place that focus on the customers’ needs instead of the company’s products. A relaxed atmosphere where you can be inspired to approach matters can be perceived as boring and difficult. For example: getting a better private economy, loans, saving, insurance, etc, guided by a personal attendant.

To further add interest, various themes that change seasonally will be offered that are tailored to certain customer groups, such as parents and real estate owners. Another thing that also makes Länsförsäkringar Shop unique is that physical products also are offered in addition to the company’s standard product range. For example, to complement a complete package of family related insurance and financial products the Shop may also sell products related to child safety. The common denominator of the physical products sold in the Shop is good ergonomics and design. All physical products are sold during a limited period of time.

The design of the Shop developed by Bas is based on a concept called “Classic banking all new”. It starts with the design elements of a classic bank presented in a novel and modern way, facilitating a modern cosy customer friendly environment. For example, traditional attributes associated with a bank – pillars, stucco and panels are painted on white walls. The rooms for personal consulting have the look and feel of a nice lounge instead of traditional meeting rooms. No Chesterfield sofas!

The two first shops were opened late April in Stockholm and Uppsala and several more shops are planned in a near future.
